Ein System zur Visualisierung und

Analyse von Emotionen.

 

Das System hat zum Ziel Menschen, die von der Wettbewerbsgesellschaft

betroffen und unzufrieden mit den daraus resultierenden Auswirkungen

auf ihr Leben sind, zu helfen. Trotz der Anforderungen die an

sie gestellt werden, sollen sie ein gesundes und achtsames Leben leben. Es hilft ihnen mit Stress und Druck umzugehen zu lernen.

Dies wird ermoeglicht durch das messen ihrer Emotionen. Die gemessenen Daten werden den Nutzern präsentiert und ermöglichen ihnen so, das eigene Leben zu reflektieren, ob es so verlaeuft wie man es sich vorstellt, oder ob man die Wahrnehmung ueber sich selbst verloren hat.

Besteht Anlass zur Veraenderung, so schlaegt das System einfache Wege

vor, eine Verbesserung zu erreichen oder sich mit Gleichgesinnten

auszutauschen.

Der Name Sentimus ist lateinisch und bedeutet „wir fuehlen/empfinden,

merken, erkennen, verstehen, nehmen war“.

Speculative Design

There are more registered cars than people in Los Angeles. Of the 7 Million cars. 3 Million are driven every day, producing about 16 Million toins of carbon dioxid every year. For this amount, 48000 squarekilometersof forest would be necessary to compensate the pollution.

 

How would the world look like, if every car is covered with plants, instead of just paint?

 

An average car has about 3 to 6 squaremeters of surface. If you count every driving car in LA, and multiply them by an average of 5 squaremeters surface, you get about 15 million squaremeters of potential green space. This is about 2,5 times the size of the black forest and would take on 1/3 of carbon dioxid pollution in Los Angeles.

To cover cars with plants isnt even unrealistic, there are moss mixtures, that can be put on walls, and even special surfaces, mostly used in architecture, to cover different surfaces with plants.

So why continue wasting space for car paint instead of green driving?

 

This is a speculative design concept in collaboration with moovel lab and the help of J. Paul Neeley.

GREEN DRIVE

If you hear this days about drones, you will automatically think of military. And yet this exciting progressive technology can be very useful. We thought about, how we can make this drone technology useful to help after natural disasters.

Nowadays after a natural disaster and after the aides arrived it takes sewveral days until new maps from satellites are available to them and they can begin with their operation. This enormous waiting time we want to overcome with the technology of autonomous flying drones which are collecting data for new maps.

 

The route coordinates, that should be flown by the drone, will transmitted by gps, thereby the drone can fly autonomous the chosen route. During the flight the drone takes pictures continuously in birds view. These pictures will be processed to a 3D map. Afterwards the 3D map can be processed into a 2D map and then printed out for a fast use by the relief forces.

 

The application that we designed enables this tasks. With it you can plan the autonomous drone flight and transmit them to the drone (Mission Planer), watching the flight by lifestream (Live View) and visualize the captured map material after the flight (Post Editing). For that process, the system takes only a few hours. After that the relief forces are able to begin with their rescue missions immediately

DRONE MAPPING SYSTEM

Application Design

A research project, that tries to increase the "fun" factor in touch interactions. We wanted to know, why certain interactions are more enjoyable than others.

 

We developed some prototypes, where the user has to set the time right, through different and uncommon interactions. The prototypes were also designed to have different visual presentations. A minimalistic design, a skeuomorph design and a futuristic style. The background changes its gradient according to the sun at each hour at daytime.

 

The users reviews were very different. Most users liked the interactions they already knew most.

It was suprising to see, that the prototypes with the futuristic design were mostly well received. Despite the same interaction as in the other styles, the futuristic design produced the most "fun" in an interaction, mostly because the useres only know this style from movies or tv shows and were happy to see something similar in real life.

Leo.org (http://dict.leo.org/) is an online dicitionary, with an oldschool visual design.It´s one of the most used dictionaries in germany.

 

The concept redesigns the interface for translation and simulates the workflow in a video.
